State Building Premium 2025

The state building premium is a key advantage of building savings in Austria.

How much is the premium?

For 2025, the building savings premium is 1.5% on deposits up to a maximum of €1,200 per year. This corresponds to a maximum premium of €18 per year.

Who receives the premium?

Every person residing in Austria is entitled to the building savings premium - including children. This makes building savings popular as a gift for children and grandchildren.

When is the premium credited?

The premium is automatically credited to your building savings account annually.

Important: If you terminate the contract early (before 6 years), the premium must be repaid!

Example Calculation

€7,200 over 6 years

Payment MethodPayoutEarnings
Monthly €100€7,638€438
Annual €1,200€7,692€492
Lump sum €7,200€7,990€790

The earlier you deposit, the more interest you earn. A lump sum payment therefore yields the highest return.
